Day 3

This post will be rather short in comparison to the others, mostly cause I am exhausted and also so excited to continue reading the new book Michiel and I got and started reading together.

So today was the second workout. It was arm day which is an area I've always been exceedingly weak in so it's no surprise that I struggled like hell the entire time and didn't even finish the workout. It really sucks not having any other 6 week challengers in my workout time slot with me. Everyone here has been working out for months so I feel so far behind in comparison. With the others we could at least all make jokes together about how out of shape we are. I'm still not entirely sold on switching to the later time though since it would mean a full day of anxiously waiting to go to training...

On a better note, my mom and I had time to prep a bunch of snacks for today. We cleaned the fridge out and got everything cut up and prepped and organized. I'm actually excited for the meals for tomorrow. We made zoodles for the first time tonight and they were delicious! And I tried to make a satisfying cocoa but without sugar it was nothing. But I did find out there exists a sugar free kahlua... and since vodka's allowed I can have WHITE RUSSIANS!

I feel so all over the place right now and so exhausted so here's my response for the day 3 challenge:

  1. What did you do to prepare, plan, and commit this week: This week didn’t involve much preparation which led to a great amount of frustration on everyone in the household. By today however we got our shit together and have sliced up bell peppers, radishes, and celery all prepped for quick snacking. We have more meal plans underway and are figuring out what works and doesn’t by trial and error.
  2. What do you want to correct from last week: This Sunday will involve a lot more planning and prepping. I’m excited for this sunday since, now that we have a bit more knowledge on the specificities of the diet and have had time to brainstorm vegetarian ideas we can prep for a hell of a lot more meals on Sunday
  3. What worked from this week: Today was the most successful day since we had time to cut up a bunch of veggies and are starting to figure out good snack and meal ideas. This worked well for today’s meal and snacking and I’m excited for tomorrow.
  4. Post a recipe: Here’s the recipe we used for the cauliflower grits with mushrooms: https://www.ruled.me/roasted-mushroom-and-walnut-cauliflower-grits/
God I feel like even those responses don't really make sense. Oh, hmm. That is something that I know happens once you cut out sugar... the brain has a harder time functioning. I hope that's something that will wear off once my body gets used to the lack of sugar cause wow, I've been ditzy as fuck all day.
To sign off I'll post a pic of what I had for snacks and dinner today:

Breakfast: one soft boiled egg and half an avocado
Snack: celery sticks w almond butter and a matcha latte
Lunch: tofu fries w peanut sauce and a cheese stick
Dinner: zoodles with cherry tomatoes, burrata, Parmesan, basil, and olive oil
Dessert: a disappointing hot cocoa.
